Newport Anglican is all about Jesus

We warmly welcome all people, whatever your age, faith or background. We want all to enjoy and be encouraged when we meet, and also enrich the lives of people in Newport and beyond.

Jesus brings real hope, and we want to share that hope with you!

Our Mission

We seek to serve and proclaim Jesus – hear, trust and obey his word – and love the Newport community.

We aim to be a bible based church as we believe God’s word, the bible, is the most precious object on earth.

We want to glorify God in all that we do as He is worthy of all glory.

We seek to be a lifeboat to Newport, bringing the good news of Jesus to those who need rescuing.

Our Beliefs

We are an Evangelical Anglican church.
We believe:

God is the Creator of all things.

We all sin, that is, we fail to live God’s way under his rule.

Jesus Christ is the Son of God.

Jesus lived a perfect life. He died on the cross taking the punishment for our sin. He rose again defeating death.
This brings us forgiveness and new life.

The Holy Spirit works in us, revealing God to us and enabling us to grow in likeness of Jesus.

Jesus said “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” – John 14:6

“This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.” – 1 John 4:10
